1770 James Cook
The MV James Cook is a 45ft steel charter vessel operated by the Mergard family for 21 years. From the 1770 Marina you can cruise the beautiful waters of the Capricorn Bunker group at the Southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. This includes a cluster of 21 reefs and 15 islands.
The LARC
Take a ride on the amphibious LARC for a journey across pristine waterways and deserted beaches to experience the same coastal perfection that greeted Lieutenant Cook in the Year 1770. Take either the full day tour the Bustard Head Light House or the 1hr Sunset cruise.

We are blessed to have access to 8 spectacular reef systems in the Capricorn Bunker group with literally hundreds of dive sites in pristine condition. Visibility is consistently good due to their distance from the coastline and river outflows. These sites can be visited on a day trip or explored extensively on our liveaboard trips. However long you chooses to hang with us, you can look forward to our delicious Barbie feasts as you enjoy the sunset over the Coral Sea.

Reef 2 Beach Surf runs a surf school every day of the year bar Xmas day. You get an hour lesson with dedicated professional surf coaches, run under the auspices of Surfing Queensland. The coaches are fully trained and do their best to get you standing on a board in the lesson. The surf here is gentle and the beach is safe, you couldn’t find a better place to learn.
